Dignity Care is a local, homegrown business in Boulder.
In the 1990’s, as an extension of her nutritional work with the elderly and their families, Mary Kirk, a registered dietician, began care-giving. Her husband, Ged, provided a companion travel service for the elderly and disabled. Together, they established Dignity Care, LLC in 1997 as a home health care business with just two caregivers and a home office.
As demand for homecare services increased, Mary began to recruit additional caregivers with the qualities that she felt were necessary to help provide the compassionate, respectful, quality type of care that Dignity Care was known for. With this dedication and passion to provide the best caregivers in the Boulder County region, Dignity Care has grown. In 2009, Dignity Care received its Colorado "A" type licensure for homecare.
Dignity Care resides in a beautiful office space in the north Boulder area, where our ‘backup’ system of computer programs, telephones, pagers, and administrative staff all make Dignity Care a reliable service. We take great pride in covering our shifts and dedicate ourselves to our clients’ comfort and convenience. Our emergency system helps make sure that every shift is covered, 1 – 24 hours a day, whether it be a weekend day, middle of the night, or a major holiday. Dignity Care has a remarkable record for providing reliable care-giving services.
Over the years, our caregivers have been selected for their big hearts and willingness to work and help. The motto is 'heartfelt'. Caregivers are matched to clients through personalities, interests, and backgrounds. Dignity Care values the nature of consistent, deep personal relationships. We feel that these deep personal relationships are essential to the health and well-being of our clients.
There is much more to care-giving than just providing the essential physical services.
